My daughter and I made this Video some time ago, and I it gives me great joy to watch it. I thought about how it would be wonderful for students to observe and share their learning journey too. Recording them reading, writing or singing at the start and end of each term would provide -
- record of their physical, emotional and intellectual development ( for student and parent to enjoy)
- additional assessment tool for teacher
- reflective tool for student, teacher and parent
Digital videos can also be viewed by the students, and may include tutorials, instructional seminars, documentaries, field work, or real time link up's via webcams with programmes such as Skype.
A popular website that includes an almost endless source of digital videos is youtube.
